Safari Dunes Camp

Established in September 2008, Safari Dunes Camp offers a permanent Bedouin-style lodging experience. The property is situated within the remote and tranquil desert landscape of Wahiba Sands, located 25 kilometers from Al Ghabi in the city of Bidiya. Guests are accommodated in forty chalets, which are spread across the dunes and furnished with authentic carpets, premium bedding, and various interior appointments. To ensure reliable transportation, the camp utilizes well-trained 4x4 camels for guest comfort.

The camp is owned and managed by Ali Salim, an Omani local with extensive knowledge of the country’s geography, traditions, and culture. Ali Salim is dedicated to upholding Omani customs and ensures that visitors have the opportunity to experience and understand them during their stay. With years of professional experience guiding travelers throughout the Sultanate of Oman, particularly across the desert sands, he provides a knowledgeable perspective on the region.
